Packing & unpacking
The part of a household move most people hand over. What the wrapping actually is, layer by layer.
A full household move, run room by room against a written inventory — packed, dismantled, loaded, moved, rebuilt and placed where you want it.
The work starts well before the truck. A household move is mostly a counting and sequencing problem: knowing exactly what is going, packing it so it survives the journey, and loading it in an order that lets it come off in the right rooms.
We survey first — in person or over a video call — and produce a room-by-room inventory. That inventory decides the vehicle size, the crew size, how much packing material is loaded the night before, and the quote. It is also what gets signed at both ends, so anything missing is obvious on the day rather than a week later.
The team arrives with your inventory already in hand. Floors and door frames on the route out are protected before anything moves.
The kitchen takes the longest and is packed first. Fragile items are wrapped individually, then boxed with fill so nothing shifts inside the carton.
Beds, wardrobes and tables come apart. Screws and fittings go into a labelled bag taped to the frame they belong to.
Heavy and flat items go in first and low. Fragile cartons ride on top. The load is strapped in sections so nothing shifts in transit.
A vehicle sized to your inventory. You get the driver's number, and your coordinator stays reachable for the whole journey.
Unloaded by room against the same inventory, furniture reassembled, and the list signed off with you before the crew leaves.
Four things, in roughly this order of impact.
Volume decides the vehicle and the crew. A 3 BHK that has been lived in for ten years is a different job from one occupied for two.
Full packing is the single largest line on most quotes. Packing your own clothes, books and linen typically takes a meaningful amount off it.
A fourth floor without a lift needs more people, not more hours. So does a long carry from the gate to the door.
Month-end is when everyone moves. Mid-month dates are easier to staff and usually cheaper.
With full packing, usually a day to pack and load and a second for delivery and reassembly on a local route — or the same day end to end if you have packed most of it yourself. The survey gives you a real answer for your flat rather than an average.
Yes. Part-household moves are common — one bedroom's worth of furniture going to a different city, for example. It is priced on the inventory, not on the size of the flat it came from.
Yes, if you want it gone. We can unpack and remove the empty cartons and wrap on the same visit, or come back for them once you have unpacked at your own pace.
Defrost and drain the fridge the night before, and drain the washing machine's hoses. We move them wrapped and upright. Appliances that need a technician to disconnect or install — a split AC, for example — are a separate job we can arrange.

If the new address is also in Kanpur, the whole job normally finishes inside one day.
If it is out of the city: dedicated vehicle, delivery window agreed before it leaves.
